Emotion comes back to Liga

February 3, 2008 - at Almeria UD

Real Madrid has suffered a defeat this weekend at Almeria’s stadium. The score of 2-0 received by Bernd Schuster’s team returns emotion to Liga. 6 points is now the difference between Real Madrid and Barcelona – in other words only two matches. And if these small margins are maintained in the Liga, the big clash between Real Madrid and Barcelona to be played next May will become the key match to resolve this championship. This match of Day 36 of the competition will congregate all attention of the football’s world and only the privileged supporters who can obtain a ticket for the match will be able to experiment in situ the exciting conclusion of the passionate 2007/08 Liga. The calendar of outstanding Liga matches is, in principle, better for Real Madrid than for Barcelona but the handicap for the “white” team is that it has already played at its maximum level and still has not passed any unlucky break and this means that it needs to maintain an steady and strong rhythm to continue leading the table. By the contrary, Barcelona has suffered more ups and downs and some players like Messi, Ronaldinho, Puyol… have been injured for some weeks as well as some others like Eto’o, Toure Yaya are now disputing the Africa Cup with their national teams. Therefore if Barcelona is able to recover all its “arsenal” for the final part of the Liga it can still to have a lot of things to say. Anyway the final of the Liga could still be very amazing and exciting.
